100th Anniversary Countdown Paramount Theatre Continued!

My Dear Friends. This is what we kept from happening, in a decaying downtown Austin in 1975, by answering the call. Those of us from that movement, are placing a new call for support to tell an untold story to thousands of Austinites. Who will answer the call?

The trailblazing times of the 1970’s and 1980’s, that saved the Paramount from being demolished, and which resurrected the theatre for millions of families these past four decades, has forever changed the arts landscape for generations from all walks of life. We believe, the Austin of today, in this penultimate centennial year, will want to hear this powerful insider’s story of heart, soul, guts, sweat and unrelenting push and faith, by so many, against staggering odds and apathy. We want to introduce those people, to whom so much is owed, to all of you who embrace this glorious, living monument which is dedicated to uplifting the human heart.

Help us to find a new champion to emblazon that singular story across the media landscape of the Capitol of Texas, so that all who revel in the Paramount of today, will delight in the knowledge of its original seeds that has born such a bounty of spirit and joy. Thanks to all of you that gave us your love, respect and trust.
