Iguacu Falls1 - Brazil

There was a moment when I was standing on a platform very, very close about 50 yards from one section of the 275 falls.  I could see – very closely – the water cresting at the very top, as if it were posing right before it plummeted and disappeared in to the billowing mist below.  The sun was illuminating this bedeviling water in such a way that it seemed to me as if I was watching thousands of stunning diamonds coalescing for that moment before it returned to its watery state.  The mist was ice cold.  I was transfixed – standing there in awe, dumbfounded by the supernatural effect.  I thought, well John has an overactive imagination as we know.  But, I believe in my heart, time stopped. The waterfall turned in to a river of alluvial diamonds shinning brighter than a supernova in space.  I was humbled by it. I couldn’t’ take my eyes off it.  There are moments where miracles occur.  I will never forget that sight when Iguacu showed me her real self.
